This is a national event inviting the descendents of the Scottish Diaspora to return to visit their roots. CELM will be holding a festival of history, literature, poetry, song and drama throughout the week 8th - 15th August 2009. More details.

Anniversary of the Armistice: Sat 8th Nov - Sat 15th Nov 2008
To commemorate the 90th anniversary of the signing of the Armistice there will be a WW1 display of Lismore's war in the museum. The week will open with stories of Liosachs who fought told by Ailsa Templeton who has researched the subject for seven years and who
was, for a year, a guide in the graveyards and battlefields of Northern France.
The cafe will serve WW1 food for the afternoon.
The exhibition will close at the end of the week with a drama performed by
the High School students who live on the island.
Book Fair: 24th - 29th November 2008
Book Fair with book sales; a visit from Waterstones on Thurs 27th; poetry readings; story telling and a literary afternoon for the primary school.
